I think if I lived in a warm climate I would still build to Wisconsin building codes.
Reflect the heat and insulate a lot…shade. Better yet, half under ground…

We don’t build like we should here. Just run the AC 24/7 for a few months. Eyeroll.

Actually I was in Minny sota once upon a time, when the ice was 3 foot thick on a lake and the wind was moving like a glacier on to shore and knocking down trees and devastating homes.

Frost heaving the ground and making the roads like roller coaster.

Brutal.

I hear the fall is nice.
 
They have water heaters and stuff outside everywhere. Go to a hardware store and they don't even have the self draining hose spigots! Absolute madness lol

Why would I want my water heater in my house? if it blows up or leaks, it will flood everything! :lol:
