Good article, think they touched on a lot of good points. First article about arboriculture I've read in awhile where they actually talked to real arborists, and not some hacks.

I liked how they pointed out you shouldn't plant more trees and then neglect them....I had a similar arguement with the higher ups here. Why would you want to increase our planting budget if you're not going to increase our maintenance budget?!?!

Sounds like the arbos there are gonna be busy for years to come.

LA Times seems like a good paper, I look at it online every so often and it usually has several good articles and photos.

It's interesting they would have planted those euc trees about like they planted silver maples in these parts .Then a hundred years later they become a problem with getting hollow or the roots giving way .

I might add about the LA Times .It has one of the toughest crossword puzzles of any publicaton in the USA .I seldom get them all correct .
