    My grandson rakes for me. Last year we got a Kuhn Speed Rake. It does a great job. What you are seeing is places where the disc mower mashes the cut grass down so tight that it's hard for any rake to get it up.

    I cut the area around the combustion chamber (squish band) to decrease the size of the chamber. Then I cut some off the base to set the quench clearance.

    I might have laughed a little too hard at this ^^^^ Not really, they can be a pain in the ass. Too damn heavy in my mind as well. I've made some real strong runners out of them, but they seemed to be plagued with little issues. I can ask around......I know some good Husky techs.
