He is a great climber and likes to keep his hand in. Down to the last pic by 10.30am.
 
Climbing for Nic (timbertramp) this week. Couple of Cottonweeds and a Willow coming down.

The leaves helped slow down the runs toward the ground nicely:/:

Nic being on the ropes made things go super smooth. never felt a wiggle all day.

I'm not one to take many chances with heavy loading, and Cwood is pretty light relatively.
 
Never even seen a cottonwood so it's good to read y'all's take on it...thanks. I'll factor this info in someday when I am elsewhere and end up cutting one.
 
Worked on the property next to my shop today. No commute. Forty year old ten ton crane has been much cared for, still in excellent shape.

I don't understand the need to separate the toes like that. Does it serve a purpose?
