My job today Water Oak with broken limbs from small tornado that touched down last weekend. Removing deadwood, broken limbs, raise canopy, light pruning. Will post after pic:)

Nice pictures everyone. I like the planting Nick. Those trees were pretty good size. Here is a some shots from a Pin Oak removal we did on Thursday.

I love to pop em off and watch them land flat, especially the big ones. Undercut as deep as I can, do the same to the sides, then come down on top, fast!

We will have a bucket with twin grapples on it for the severely tapered logs or a big butt and small top. Both side will close to within an inch of the bucket lip. Should pick up anything.

Some nice blue oaks rid of mistletoe and some fodder from the day :)

I'd rather be doing that, than what I did today.

I had to go over the last logs and rebuck them to the buyers specifications.
I filed up 1½ 24" chain today!

Once they have been skidded out, the bark is full of imbedded gravel.

Sucks with a 1/2 life.. I hate cutting skidded logs... We are often pulling them up creek banks and they get full of mud and granite. I just bring a tool box full of sharp chain on those jobs. If we run out of chain, I start sharpening the round chisel...

Here is a little job we did today, between building cat pedestals at the zoo. Elm with a sewer collapse under it, probably related to the 2011 flood. Dropped and cleaned up in one hour. All but trunk in the chip truck. This is when the BC 2000 is great. Finally some good weather, although there were some snow flurries last night. Should be in the 60's for highs.

Day and a half on these two... Blue oaks..
Insurance company said they had to go over this vacation rental... Perfectly healthy trees save for the mistletoe.
Over roof, electric service that crosses the road, little trees, road.. It was a fun job.. KK came out to play as did the mini. All left on site and we even threw in the first trailer loading
I love rigging jobs like this.. Just Rob and I on this one :D

Dang, you cut stumps low. Hats off to you.
Thanks Chris.. HO expressed they wanted to run a mower beside them and we get this request often. I charge a tad extra and get out the 066 with the 1/2 wrap and get her done. We used round chisel on the trunk to check for metal with the 044. All clear.. I whooped out the square chisel for the stumps..

Jay.. very peaceful off the road.. Busy little road though. Took Stig up this way when he was here. There are quite a few big Valley Oaks up this way with big meadows and full on woods. Almost runs right to my house. I was just working the opposite end near the 49 highway.

That KK is a big sucker. I never had a size perspective on it. What is the handle like? Does anybody know if it is still available for sale anywhere? I didn't find it when googling. Looks like a good device for the money.
