The Official Work Pictures Thread

😉 all honesty,i told the mother go ahead and pick the first name since I named our first child(Riley Aeson Griffin),Cecil is my grandpa and great grandpas name(never knew either of them). I'm going to share your post with her 👍

Thank you Sean! It's a real treat I must say...

He's on the list!!! :D

Does 'Gage' have any family history or just picked cuz it fits like a glove?

You know it! Thanks Deva,Levi. Truly a blessing,y'all know...

Cory, she just picked it cause she likes it,I actually tried to talk her away from it but decided just to let her pick what she likes. My grandpa and great grandpa Cecils (was thier middle name as well)were machinists and thought it a bit funny that Gage got the name he did.
My dad says it's in our blood and with a name like Gage Cecil, that I ought to get that boy some measuring tools to play with...

Oh, you'll get used to no sleep. And then he will sleep good for a while. And then he will be back to not sleeping just when you get used to sleeping again. Gotta love it

I'm in no sleep mode again by the way

Spent 4+ hours in this today. Canopy Raise, storm damage pruning. Been cut back from the roof more than once, them plastic roofing added. Vine maple, hot tub, deck, wooden railings and stairs, lights below.

Rig n Wrench!! Used a 5:1, with the two of us pulling moderately to lift a long, long fir limb. 7-8" on the butt, and very dense.

This was stuck by lightning 2 years ago.

Ran short on time. Another 2 hours work on Monday. Picked Dahlia up from school. SICK!

Didn't get before pictures, unfortunately.

I do that most of the time, when falling in the woods. Makes it way easier to cut one side of the hinge as the tree goes over, if it is in danger of getting hung up.
Also makes them fall faster if one has to squeeze one into a tight lay.

Lots of benefits and I can't think of a single draw back to the method, as long as one is an experienced cutter with a good sense of where the bar tip is at all times.

Just to clarify, I'm NOT a kraut:lol:

 and that's a good one!

Congratulations on the wee bundle of joy! Love the blanket, makes him look like a Christmas present :)

Awesome shots Sam,perfect notch👍 love the snow shots, hat is off to you sir. Takes some drive to climb in that weather,it was fun for like a minute ime lol

That looks like an amazing property Sean, majestic trees it seems.

Thanks Fiona! I said the same thing about the blanket ☺️

Oh ya Rich,i was a robot for our first one. I know exactly what you mean.
It must be a different animal in that weather you got though lol

The apprentice did his first biggish tree today. A dying ash removal. I could tell he was nervous when he went up, but once he started cutting, he totally calmed down and was getting a good work flow.

He did the tree in 2½ times the time I'd estimated Richard or I would use, that is real good for a rookie IMO.

So he got lots of praise when he came down.:)

👏👏👏 hail yeah! I miss aspiring young blood, the hardest workers and always wanting to learn type.
That must be somewhat gratifying to see the progression of your apprentice 👍 that's a fatt tree for sure. Good to see you out there doing that stuff (mentoring)

Thank you for the hinge porn. I know I've been slacking and Jed has been hoarding his pics lately. Good stuff
And Stig, it's nice to see the company take the time to train someone. Hopefully what you've invested pays you back many times over.

Beautiful stuff Sam.

Little trim in the morning, feeling much better today. After this I cut down a rotten mach orange over some lines and little shed...

boo........ Too cold for this.... cold.jpg

Just now noticed that the ground guys stuck the pole saw chain right up on the house.......for fucks sake.......

now hiring!

Hahahha...just a little detail!!! There is no way your fingers did not freeze off! You have some kind of liners inside that Atlas glove? Because I use Atlas ThermaFit in winter and they don't really make much difference...did not today anyway. Ran the chipper for about an hour in 34' and fingers were not happy.

Griff, I really like that tree you trimmed. Type? Cool location...looks like a great climb.

Grendel...great shots of hinge/stump...that'll probably shake Jed out of his lethargy.

I hope so Gary! To be fair, I bet Jed and Willie are both super busy right now. . .

It was 10 degrees on that spar. Those atlas gloves almost make it worse, I agree.
