I ran one of the first generation Menzi Mucks on a construction job I helped on, when I worked in Switzerland.

That one only had two wheels, that could be locked, directionwise, and two outriggers.

It was still an amazing piece of machinery

Same general design of the "spider" excavators we use here...I think there are a few different manufactures; Kaiser, Menzi, perhaps another one or two. With the right operator, they can perform magic.
