I heard an NPR report just this morning from some AI image creation specialists that said it can be very difficult to tell now. I dunno, grain of salt...but I am clueless. How did you "just know"?
I was sorely tempted to shotgun a real estate agent's drone a few months back. He didn't need to overfly my property repeatedly to take pictures of the place across the road.
Out of curiosity, I looked up what the laws were regarding doing as he was doing, and for my considered response.
Long story short, he can fly over my property until I request that he desist, then he cannot. And if I shoot his drone down, it is treated by federal law just exactly the same as if I shot down any other aircraft...in other words, a felony with a very long prison term in the offing.
