One thing he is, is cool.
And around bees, cool will get you pretty far.
Once I stopped caring, I didn't get stung nearly as much as in the beginning, when getting stung was like the end of the world.
Eventually I got to the point where I could work without a suit.
Untill the first one stung me, that is.
They release a pheromone when the stinger gets torn out, that sets the rest of them in stinging mode, too.

But messing around like that, he must get stung.
I can't figure out why they don't mass attack him.

When bees swarm they are far less likely to sting . When they leave hive they try and carry as much honey as possible. When they are that full, bending abdomen to sting is harder . Plus, they are on a mission.....find a new home. When he fumbles through nest....they want to recover queen....not attack.

Given that....let them hang out there for a few days, then they will get testy. Catching swarms is child's play
