Lol I knew Burnham was gonna mention that. A damn nice fell still the same. When you talk about textbook hinges around here you have to be spot on for it to pass Burnham's inspection.

I cut the far side first, the tree was bigger than the 41' bar.

I watched two guys, with two saws, cutting at the same time... take over an hour to fell this.:whine:

Oh and they tried cutting the notch out... but just gave up and left it there...

Yeah it was painful to watch. It was two older guys that had very big egos. One of them was the owner of the property. I was on vacation and I played dumb and watched.
 
One of those instances ya just wanna say .... "step aside son and let me show ya how its done before ya kill yaself or someone else... " Then just bite ya tongue and chuckle from a safe distance. Emphasis on the SAFE.:lol:
