Who sells this? I can't get it in the uk, I'd like to import a reel but I can't find it on baileys madsens or sherrills.

Stihl dealers only, I'm almost positive that there are no internet sales. You'll have to have someone pick it and ship it to you.

It's the 3/8 lo pro full chisel without the safety ramps. Picco Super.

Uk stihl dealers can't or won't get it in, same as skip chain.

Yep PS that tells it all, came out last year and was on 201 stock. 63PS is 3/8LP 050. For you in UK just buy the PS off FEEbay USA.

Then you got PS3 that came out 2-3 years ago with the safety ramps.

Looks like 25' roll of PS is $103 + $11 ship = $114 to the door from feebay seller. Be a bit more for shipping to UK.

Per feebay shipping under chain, $25.55 $31.86 United Kingdom International Priority Shipping

How many DL you need? I have 2 loops left I havent used.

Got a link? Can't find any ps, only ps3. I want a full roll really as I need 52 link and 50 link loops now, rather than buying both I want to be able to make up whichever I need at the time.

The first link is PS, not PS3, sorry about the second link.

Nope, you are right, checked the pic of the box in the first link and it's PS3! Sorry!

It's a pain to search for, any search for ps also brings up ps3, and ps3 is also incorrectly listed as ps.

I've ran VXL and many others. I tested PS3 in 2011. Got PS 2013 and only will run PS or PS3 now.

All my guys wanting 3/8LP insist on PS3 and PS for their 42cc and under. So that is all I stock anymore. Customers know the difference in the cut as well as I.

I put some stihl ps something or other semi chisel on my climbing saw this week and it was like "nom nom nom" right through wood.

Kevin whenever we get spring here I'll get that 63PS tested. Still 30 below windchill here.
I agree I made cuts thru a 10x10 with the chisel PS chain and much more aggressive then the 91 semi chisel chain. Would be good chain on the Husky 543XP and Stihl MS241 with 14-16" bars too.

It's a lot faster than regular Stihl 3/8" pico .Reminds me of the 1/4" Oregon chisel they sold during the 70's .

What I need to find is if that skinny 3/8" lo pro that Baileys sells is chisel or not .With an .043 chain in chisel it should be faster yet .

I got a 39cc that wears .325 that might be better with this PS. Only thing I would have to run reg 3/8 7 rim. No picco 6 for it.
So it would be like jumping up a gear and loosing torque from 325 7 to 325 8. So I never switched it over or tested it yet.

I run 63ps on my 540 and it cuts like a champ. You can get a 100' roll for a little over 3 bills. I bought my 5 loops from a guy on sawhawgz though.

What model of saw is that Kevin?

Echo 3900

Uses standard rims.
Standard 7 spline rim or small 7 spline rim?
I see the new Stihl MS241 has a Picco 7 pin mini 7 spline rim kit available. It wouldn't take much to put that rim in a lathe and bore it out to small spline, then cut the 7 spline slots. Might even have enough meat to bore to standard 7 spline.
I got a Picco 8 pin mini 7 spline rim with lots of room for bore mods

Small, if I'm going to run 3/8 7 I would just use small rim no modding. Have done it before on up to 60cc saws without any problems for my short term uses. Just dont want to loose the torque going to a 3/8 7 on this 39cc. Reminds me of a stihl 021 023.

Tested against 025 and 250 I had and it just didnt have the torque of those 2 with 325.

Kevin, I have another option idea for your 39cc Echo. Run 1/4".
I'm looking through my rims and b/c and the 1/4" rim is smaller diameter then the .325-7pin .
I have a good supply of 9 pin 1/4" rims in small 7 spline. Got 25' of Carlton chain and 25' of Stihl. Also have 6 Windsor Mini Pro tips in 1/4" and 6 tips in .325 Plus three 16" Mini Pro bars. All this stuff is brand new.

Kevin, to add to my last post here's some pics of my 1/4" [.250] stuff.

1st pic is a Stihl 14"- 1/4" bar , 16"-1/4" Windsor Mini Pro bar [Husky small mount], 18"- 3/8" Cannon bar[Husky large mount] [Mini Pro tips fit this bar], all .050
- side by side a 1/4" -9 pin small 7 spline rim and a 3/8"-7 pin small 7 spline rim.

2nd pic is my MS200 and 346XP with the 16"- 1/4" b/c

3rd pic my 338XPT with 16"-1/4" b/c.

I'm going to run the 18"- 3/8" Cannon bar on my 562XP, and a 16" Mini Pro bar with .325 tip on my 550XP.
I'll be ordering some more of these Mini Pro bars before their all gone [last made in the early '90s] . Tips are available in 1/4", 3/8" LoPro, .325 and 3/8" standard.
I used these bars for years back in the 1980s pulp cutting and they were a tough lightweight bar, I was running the 3/8" tips with 77LG [.058] chain. As you can see Cannon is now making them but their tips look Chinese plus a tad longer then the Mini Pro tip.
