Around here, you make one call and the beekeepers jump to collect the hive. Last time from when I made the call to when this guy arrived, 1/2 hour.
An hour later he had collected the entire colony.

Ever hear of colony collapse?

I'm hoping that the guy learned something from this, like...duh.....THINK FIRST, but I'm doubting that's the case.

I remember when I saw that swarm last year that it left me awe struck. Frans, you're right....I remember calling the beekeepers, then going out into the field to check on the herd or something. By the time I was driving out, the beekeepers had already come and gone. I think I posted about it, but if not, it's here on my site.

I think they're coming back around here.....the numbers in my garden have risen....not sure if they're where they were ten years ago, but more than before anyway. We co-exist quite nicely. :D
