The last issue of Alpine has an article on Stolby. I think it was written by the guy in the video.

Stolby reminds me a little of Bluff Park where I grew up. Lots of people hanging out at the cliffs, most of'em getting high and drinking. Nothing like watching a bunch of shitfaced Alabama rednecks playing with firearms and trying to climb overhanging sandstone... no ropes of course.
Ultimately we developed a pretty strong free solo culture around there. Now that whole seven mile long cliff is covered with really expensive houses.
