I saw this at the pump last night. 1947 Indian. I think it must be a Chief. Foot clutch, hand shift. My grandfather had one when he was sixteen. Laid it down and spent six weeks in bed recovering.

There was a guy in his 80's on a Chief at our local bike night last year. He owned it since it was new. So cool.
I passed a guy my own age on a Honda CBX1000 today. Most likely the 81 European touring version.
Bike was in absolute mint condition.
I stayed on the side of him for a while, checking it out, and when he looked over, gave him a grin and a thumb up.
So he grinned back, and took off like a rocket.
Although I'm not, myself, the type to maintain a spotless vehicle ( I haven't washed the BMW so far this year, except cleaning the bugs off the windscreen) seing a bike gives me a buzz.
