Yeah , i dont mess with or kill snakes.
"Dont tread on me "
If they are in my yard they get re located.

I saw his cousin on the AT last weekend, just laying across the trail sunning himself. He rattled after we touched him the third time with a hiking pole.

I say corn snake....our king snakes look a little different then that

Just Remember,
RED ON BLACK FRIEND OF JACK
RED ON YELLOW KILL A FELLOW

And, if you ever do see red on yellow, count yourself lucky as they're fairly rare.

I was thinking corn snake at first, but I wouldn't argue against kingsnake.

I a coral snake about 15 years ago.
Red on yellow , actually unmistakable once you finally see one .
The two coolest snakes i ever saw though was a big ole red belly down in austrailia and he was pissed.
And a mojave rattler out west , very scary.
The red belly will actually chase you like a king cobra will , and i promise you will run.

That's a pretty snake Dark.

The coolest snake I've seen was a huge boa constrictor in Costa Rica. He was as big around as Butch's bicep and must have been at least 6 feet long, but it was hard to tell because he was wrapped around a tree branch.

I was driving under a underpass to the freeway one time and there was a big rattler on the road and I was going to run over his head. Just before I got to him he pulled back and raised up and watched me go by. As my window was open with my arm hanging out, my life passed before my eyes. I felt like such a dummy.

Well where were you Cali ?
Could have been real bad.
The rattle snakes around here are slow to strike, They dont want to strike and use up any venom.Their rattle will scare the lights out of ya tho.

Patterson, CA, where Oak Flat Rd. goes under the northbound lanes of I-5. I'll never forget. There aren't any rattlers down in the valley but there are in the coast range mountains and this was right on the edge of the mountains.
