My grandma gave me this gun yesterday. Said it's been in the house as long as she knew, doesn't know where it came from, and shoulda shot her husband with it.

It's a 16 Guage shotgun I guess.

Good/bad? Worth millions/pennies? :|:

clean barrel I would think good to go. I wouldnt hesitate to run a cleaning rag through it though as if there is any crud in there it 's good to remove it so things don't score. also look at the stock for cracks ect.

I couldn't tell from the pic; is it a single shot or a side by side double?

Maybe oil the stock if it needs it. If it is dirty or scratched up, first lightly rub it out with the finest grade steel wool for woodwork. The wood appears to have really rich color and patina, maybe leave it alone and just oil it. Rub the oil in well with a soft rag and buff it up. Family heirlooms are cool.

I made a gun cabinet out of Ash for a guy once. I enjoyed the project. I also made a stock for a Mannlicher rifle. The stock was quite a difficult thing to fit precisely, the wood gets very thin in some places, going by the original.

Should be a sweet shootin' single, B. As long as it's not a damascus barrel (which I highly doubt), I'd think nothing of putting rounds through it.

As for value... not a home run, but the old American made singles are sought after.
