I cant wait to go there.

You are going to feel like a king! Nassau has a zoo and if you love flamingos, I would recommend it. If not, eh... being a small island, it is a small zoo. We take the public buses when we are there, you have to get over the bridge to ride them, but it is fun to feel part of their culture.
What about conch, have you ever tried it? The BEST conch in the WORLD is under the second bridge, the one that takes you back to Nassau from Paridise Island. If you go to try it, don't be skeerred, lots of local color down there. Find George's stand, it is on the left a couple of stalls down and ask him to make you a conch salad. The price will vary depending on his take of ya'll but don't pay more than 10 bucks  If you are looking for a little romance that night, tell him you want to eat the pistol.
If you have to ride a jet ski, Atlantis proper does not rent them but just beyond the Beach Towers on the beach some locals do.

:/:

What's the diff, mate?

The fact that I have 1 drink MAYBE every two weeks.

No difference I am not the biggest fan of people who drink on a daily basis either.
I can see having a glass of wine with dinner. But coming home after work and cracking a beer and doing so for the rest of the night................:O

Different strokes for different folks. Personally, I don't feel qualified to pass judgement on other people's lifestyles.

Now if you'll excuse me, it's time to Wake and Bake.

We each have our own opinions on things butch. Thats the beauty of living in America

I dont trust people from up north period. I'll never vacation up there either!

I know a few rednecks, and I am far north of most of y'all. I think Rborist and Canuck might be the only members farther north in north america. Not sure about hobbyclimber and any of our non north american members, I am just north of the 49th parallel. ;)

I am looking at the nightly rates at Cove, or even the reef for that matter. Lots of dough! We can stay at the Ritz, and save 3K on other Islands. This place better be worth it!

V
Did you do the club when you went? Is it worth the extra few $$$? Free breakfast, Hors Dourves all day, and drinks from 5-7 p.m.

How was Nobu, or Mesa?

Thanks!!!!

Any way you can get food included, do it! A hotdog is 9.50. Check the rates at The Beach Towers, it is still Atlantis, just cheaper.
John did the crazy water towers, he loved them.

Do you gamble?

They do have dinner plans, 900 extra for not too much, breakfast, one meal including dessert.

This plan offers a choice of full American or continental breakfast daily at Seaglass*, Mosaic*, Marketplace, Plato's, Murray's Delicatessen, Coral Towers Lounge, Water's Edge or Voyager's, and dinner daily in Mesa Grill*, Mosaic*, Marketplace, Cafe at the Great Hall of Waters, Atlas Bar and Grill, Murray's Delicatessen, Marina Pizzeria, Carmines, Bimini Road, Water's Edge, Bahamian Club, Casa d'Angelo, Chop Stix or Voyager's Dinner. Dinner includes a choice of an appetizer, soup or salad, one entree, a selection of one dessert, tea and coffee at a la carte restaurants.

Yes we gamble. I love craps and she likes Roulette.......Why?

We do too! John loves craps and we both like Roulette. The casino at Atlantis is good, not vegas, but good. There is another casino over on Cable Beach, DO NOT waste your time going there!
There are some high rollers at Atlantis. One year we watched a guy playing craps with 80-90 thousand dollars worth of chips.:O

Sheeze, I called the other day and they said they were thinking about starting the dinner plans but they did not have them right now. How long are planning on staying?

We are only there for 5 nights!

My wife wants to do the dolphin swim. No matter where we stay.

Still trying to justify this place. I am trying to allot 2500 for spending for the 5 days. Do you think thats enough? The "Club" is 900 extra, and we are only there for 5 days. Thats 180 per day. Is it cheaper to just buy breakfast, and some snacks? I also heard drinks are cheaper up there........but not by the pool where we want to drink. Any insight?
