Yes in the walleye family but the smallest of family. Heck a 16" is a fish ohio reward here in Ohio.

Taste like walleye IMO and the smaller ones we call cigars are the better eating.

Few more over the long weekend. Son said they caught about 70 but only brought home 15 to eat. Can only keep 10 a person anyways.

I went and shot guns with my bro instead.

Shot a 15 shot shotgun pump action. UTS 15 tactical http://www.americanrifleman.org/blogs/uts-15-polymer-tactical-shotgun/

Sat on my choice lake for 8 hours yesterday. 36 degrees and windy. Drummed up these fellas at sunrise and couldn't get anything moving after that.

We had a tough day Sunday, brought home 3 little snappers. Not even worthy of a picture!! John enjoyed them for dinner though. I think the fish are on the reef and we were in the bay.

Virginia, if it were a contest, you would probably have caught a lot of fish, or at least the biggest one of the day. Isn't that how it usually works?

My uncle and his son couldnt stand it and drove 6 hrs to get in the Ohio river to fish with my dad.

Longest one was 18" most sauger are like the ones on the left. Been a unreal year.

Also that crappie was different then the still water crappie. Weight was a little over a pound and round and shorter like all muscle from swimming in the river currents by the dam all the time I guess.
