Few years ago I put up a vid of a tree we felled. Got some good feedback. Let's do it again...

We had 6 guys for about 10 hours. Log cart was used to haul all the heavy stuff to a 40 yd dumpster in the street.

Went pretty smooth save for one close call.

The was the inaugural use of our own GRCS, though I've used them a lot at previous companies I've worked for along the way.

Anyway- have a look. Whattya think?

Hooyah...looked good to me. I did not foresee the tip swinging towards the GRCS..glad it didn't whack it (I busted a Stihl when a piece took a planned swing but forgot the backswing).

If I do one like that I'll have the orange rope guy ready to release the PW once the tree tips over.

Good video.

Was the overhead rope to prevent lawn damage from the impact?

Nick, next time.... Try notching the tree towards the lifting point, butt tie it at the face cut to control the drift with a fig 8 or porty, back cut to finish and lift... Park cart or truck under log and load ;)
Fun stuff :)
That was not critical bro...
