Check your chains after they have been derailed

Good catch, if your lucky the chain sails off the end of the bar into the scenery, not around the clutch cover power head area and destroys the clutch cover or power head area.

this chain caught something on the rhs cutters, tore off 3 teeth before breaking this one, see the cutters on the chain.
Just put a new tie strap in, and ground off the 3 damaged teeth and put more firewood in the trailer till it was a stumper.

break n mend is hell on the wrists but does a good rivet.

In 19 years. I've been hit in the inner thigh by a throw chain from a 28" or 36" bar, broke one chain on a 192t when going to release a heavy limb after a bunch of storm work and rough use, saw a ms440 with one tie strap broken while the second held the chain together.

I break 2 or 3 a year, normally. I generally go through about 100'(a roll) in that same time. Never been injured by it, and don't worry about it. Had a small cut in a few pairs of pants I guess. Non issue for me.
