What the heck are they doing? It looked like the porty was rigged to hold it up? But he kept saying, "pull on it" or "pull it up?

I'm befuddled.

I'm guessing they had two lines on it, a pull line on a GRCS (not shown) and a control line on the porty (shown). Looks like they were trying to let the tree down easy for some reason.

It looks like Jeff was lowering the spar, someone else was pulling it down.

Why I haven't a clue, why they used such a small notch befuddles me also.

Are you talking about the "processing" part? To my knowledge, you just gotta wait?

It usually takes me about 5 or so minutes to upload a vid to youtube, then about 30 minutes to an hour for the vid to show up.

What you couldn't see was the weather balloon that was attached to the top of the spar to lower it slowly.

I think Charly used that skinny face out of habit trying to save every inch of wood on that log. There was a winch down hill doing the pulling. Again, not much to the vid.

Main reason for posting it was to let those who have not met Charly P. get to see a bit of him.
Sorry about the bad camera work. But I was running the line on the porty while filming.

Jeff, you did something funky with the code and all the other posts in this thread seem to be included in your first post. I think you need to go back and fix the video code in your first post. Just copy it from the youtube page and paste it in your post. Don't do anything else to it.

In the first video, we see him going back to thin out his hinge... and then sticking his head right in line with the butt. If the porty or tension line failed, well... barberchair could happen!
