Wow! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. That's the kind of vacation that makes it hard to get back in the grind again.

Nice pictures darkstar! Where were you? Im leaving for Paris Wednesday. Never been to Europe

That has got to be umpteen times better than the normal tourist vacation in France. Very cool stuff. I have read about via ferratas...awesome that you got to do one.

Thanks.

Good fun, Jer!!

Cham?

Does your wife climb much? At a grade high enough for you to have some real fun?

Neat that you got to see an Ibex. Not something you come across every day, since they don't much like to hang out where humans go.

Lets see we were in the Ecrins and then south france about an hour south of gap.
Hey the Ibex was supposedly called a boutiquin or a chamox i cant remember which .
Here is another pic of a bunch of them off in the distance.
You guys like the bridge so here is another pic of it taken from the top end of it looking down on the other two bridges far down underneath.
When doing that feratta you cross all three and climb up in between them .

Ok then a pic of pollarding in france and one a a beautiful sycamore that had been topped at least ten times

And a summit picture...:|:
