I just spent a week as a student instructor under a Chief Instructor in the ASI training program. I came away as a liscenced ASI Instructor.

I'm curious if any of you have experience with ASI and either the operator training or instructor training programs.

I'm happy to share my impressions, but I'd like to hear those of any who'd care to share theirs.

Thanks!

You mean for ATV as in all terrain vehicle as in a 4 wheel motocross bike? I thought the rules consisted of "don't fall off and don't wreck!"
:|:

never had any kind of training, just got on and learned where i could and couldnt go:dur:

That's gonna change for Oregon residents in 2009, as I understand it Willie. Every ATV operator will be required to take a training course if I have it right.

John, their problem has nothing to do with ATV safety training. Their problem is that they let their pants hang too low and all their brains fell out.

4 wheeler safety training would eliminate 95% of rednecks here

this kid is rad

So I guess there are no Thousers who have crossed path's with this org.

I'm somewhat surprised...anyone who purchased a new ATV here in the States in the last umpty ump years was eligible for a $100 cash incentive payment back from the manufacturer of their ATV if they took a no-cost-to-them training course from this outfit within some several months after the purchase.

Ah, well.

Damn Burn never knew anything like this existed outside park rangers, cops and the like.

I imagine there is a lot of stuff out there, if we would just take the time to stop to look. :O

pshaw, next thing you know a 4x4 will require a special liscence.:|:

Well, I for one would not be able to make a stong case that everyone out there currently driving a vehicle with 4x4 capability has even the slightest idea what they are doing, what they need to do differently driving one, what the weaknesses and strengths of a vehicle with that capability are...could you, Willie?

no but is it needed? theres plenty of warnings on quads and 4x4s. most of the time people on quads that dont know what they are doing only hurt themselves, mandatory classes will help a few but most will do what theyve been doing all along. its just another step deeper into nanny states of america. i guess im more into the most basic interpritations of the constitution, the less invasive the better imo
