So you sayin you`re officially an old timer then butch:P

I guess the guys i`m really after is such as Burnham and Uncle Al. These guys always seem to speak words of wisdom, just makes me doubt myself if they dont agree:cry:

I've never run one, so I really shouldn't be talking them down. I like the idea of using the smallest saw that will do the job at hand effectively.

But fawk...plastic dogs? That's just embarrassing. I must remain unmoved :D.

Nice one Burnham, I guess its one of those things that came down to cost when Stihl were designing it as a cheaper saw. Although i dare say in the overall cost of manufacture the cost difference was pennies!
 
I've never even seen one let alone run one so I certainly can't judge one .

Now as far as dogs go you have to remember that in days of old the Poulan s-25 ,baby Homelites and Mini Macs didn't have dog one let alone a plastic set .
