    How'd it go today?

John, I feel your pain. As this is day four for me - threw my back out Monday morning. It was already tentative after the seven hour drive back from Rhode Island. A simple move to the left and spasms brought me to my knees. Thought it was getting better yesterday and all I did was go food...

    How'd it go today?

Back from Rhode Island after officiating the wedding of the young man we call our ‘second son’ (we took him under our wings when his father died while he was young). It went really well. We had worked with the young couple a lot to be sure the wedding really captured who they are. At the end of...

Another day in the wood shop, then at 5pm a half hour drive south to a rural area to meet the transporter from Tri-State Bird Rescue & Rehab. Got to place this young Great Horned Owl back in the tree where he was found on the ground. Fun way to end the day. As soon as I lifted him out of my bag...

Dave, Inspiration can be so enlivening!! Follow up on those ideas, patent them, and who knows - you may well have a ready market selling to every other WoodMizer owner out there. Be careful or you’ll be managing employees and racking up the retirement funds in no time!

Where did you get your clover seed? I need to finish grading the back yard and I figured clover might be a good cover crop until we get gardens installed.

    How'd it go today?

Took a break from Woodturning to make new legs for a slab of oak coffee table that I threw cheap legs on 30 years ago… finally doing it right. Took the tree down which I made the table out of in the early 1970s - slab sat in the shop another ten years before it came home.

I’ve repaired two Schonstedts… if you want I’ll take a look at them. Often it’s a bad component on the main circuit board or a cracked connection.

On our way to London for two days of tourist’ing. Left Bexhill almost an hour ago, but sitting in Eastbourne as there is an issue with the signaling along about Polegate. Might miss our first timed-entry ticket slot at the National Gallery. ( Not a big deal; there is a younger woman sitting...

    How'd it go today?

Read, post on the Treehouse, watch the locals; I helped two young mothers each pushing a stroller and one with a child in her arms with getting on and off the train. All three young ones were fast asleep, snd they were questioning their sanity at having taken a day trip to London. Had a nice...

Nothing like catching ip with friends- all day yesterday and through the evening with just a break as we ventured out so they and my wife could get their fish’n’chips and I could hit a Tesco for my gluten-free fare (when in England, eat as the English do, unless you’ve got Celiac Disease), and...
