Dead euc, no rigging. I was keen to drop the tree whole but client wanted it pieced out to spare his turf. Still felled the main stem with top from the base.
Saw the bullet on tree stuff Sam, haven't used it yet. Previously been using my "basher" rope for dirty palms- 1/2" 12 strand, no spliced eye etc I suppose that only makes it harder to feed thru...
I'm not too interested in finding out whats underneath the skirt of the palm in the pic, looks...
Sam do use the "palm bullet" to help get the rope pulled thru. Just wondering how effective they are...
I bid this one if I get it I'll likely go the day before to set a line
Mick I'm probably splitting hairs here but I only take issue with it when they present a restricted schedule without offering any reason as to why.
Damon Hill was courteous enough to say that he wanted to sleep in until 10am, the others may say the baby sleeps till 2:30 or the neighbor works...
Nice work.
Personally it gives me the shits when a client says " I'm unavailable that early " or " I'm only home Saturdays " . Hardly a reasonable explanation for us not being able to work IMO
Nice front yard tree today, Eucalyptus Nicholi, likely the lightest Euc wood around. Had my go to contract climber Dave get it down by around 11am. Its getting pretty damn hot around here...
Not being a huge expert on the matter I'll assume the tree was struck at its top and the fire ignited in the hollow when the electricity ripped through it.
That's a whopper that pine.
If you think there could be dramas- always best to strap up. This tree was easy 2 or so light pieces rigged and the rest bombed. Trunk was full of termites and sand, it was great fun :X
