My advice for use with the BS is absolutely to use a trigger, no matter how light the pull you need for launch. The positioning of the RK in the pouch is so tenuous that you need to be able to manage it very cautiously. Trigger release helps me greatly with this.

I might amend that...time most certainly marches on, but progress? Maybe, at best. :D

We know already, Thomas...give it an effin' rest, brother. I liked it well enough, better than I expected, and I said exactly that in my review...but this unrelenting sales pitch is rubbing me raw.

Nice review Stephen, many points that echo my own...and I really like the cradle throw arrangement you came up with. That is excellent, my friend.

Of course, packaging and instructional materials are completely different...to a degree. And too much packaging is indeed a bane on the earth. However, I see EMR's point, and pretty much have to agree. My Wraptor came boxed in the same cardboard container that the base Takata drill was...

Stephen, I had pretty decent luck with the RK running on Doug fir limbs, which can be both rough and sticky with pitch. No internal weight added, and using 2mm Rhino line over limbs between 50 and 75 feet. I had more trouble at 100 feet, mostly due to the additional line weight that has to be...

All RopeKnight - All The Time

Folks, I'd be happy to turn this RK into a TreeHouse traveler. It'll have to wait until beginning of Dec., as M and I are off to spend some fun times with loooong time friends down Austin, TX way, leaving day after tomorrow. We'll work out the details when I'm back. Right now, the Nicks are...

All RopeKnight - All The Time

That's what I did, Sean. Here it is... OK, I’ve been messing about with the RopeKnight for several days now, probably 6 hours all together…better than 120 hand throws and about 40 Bigshot launches. I worked it in Doug firs and red alders, bigleaf maple, and a cascara. First off, the RK is...
