Yah imo piston makes a nice ash tray and the rest make for a nice story my brother in law lost his workshop in the summit fire here a couple years ago and due to the heat there was some distortion on his 044.Luckily with the hand tools most were craftsmen and i was able to warranty them for him...

Tore my 044 apart for its bi yearly cleaning...bucked some firewood , then mills some redwood slabs and stacked 8k bf of timber..mills cutting great and also saws.lovely day...

Not understanding that 064 is back together working on full wrap mounting the brake handle for full is non existent (discontinued). But im going to try to heat it up and modify it to work..still missing some carb stuff waiting on parts...but looking nice the 084 is good to go. Took it out early...
So since i got the 064 in trade ive torn into it to do some cleaning and inspecting few things need replacing overall happy with the trade.
Well since i traded i had some money to burn so i bought an 084 with a 46 in bar and two 36 for 500. Runs great. Couldnt resist.

So the saw is mine made a deal i felt good about traded a 044 that needed a handle replaced a basketcase ms028 and a 029 in pieces with new topend kit. He rebuilds stihl saws so he was happy. He also does some port work so ill be calling him up someday in the future
Did he mention pelicans float too it does it all i love how in a small pickup you can toss saws right on them with not worrying about tears in bags...also ceck craigslist they are all over there for cheap you can get a pelican that can fit all your gear.
Looks like butt implants lol can u make them clap dont use bags tried it just more things to catch on tree..whilst climbing i like the keeping it light and simple only time i put a ditty on is for cabling.

Hrmmm i must be a collector who works his collection seems like all my saws are that era. They take awhile to die and rebuilding is easy ive rejugged a few....just never seen a 064. Im leaning towards a 66 grunt though
