Nice find. I have an old Forest Service coloring book that tells kids to encourage their parents to harvest Amrica's forests in responsible way. It also tells them that trees need to be harvested before they get old and sick.

Dead snags are an important part of the forest e system. We might like to harvest the trees before they are old and sick but it is hardly a needful thing.

Anybody remember Mr McBeevee on the Andy Griffith show? Opie ran into him out in the woods. Big silver hat, 12 extra hands, and he could blow smoke out of his ears.

Mr. McBeevee is a man who walks in the treetops, wears a silver hat, blows smoke from his ears and sort of jingles when he walks that because of his twelve extra hands that hang from his belt. He gave me a dull axe that paw made me return so Mr. McBeevee gave me a quarter that can turn into candy and ice cream.
