Wifey wanted to go to a cabin for her birthday. We flew into Virginia lake cabin for a couple of nights. It's only a 10-15 minute flight via 185 Cessna float plane from the airport to the lake.

The cabin was originally built in 1965. It was moved to the east side of the lake in 1967. In 1996 it had an addition added to the right side along with the dock and wheel chair accessible deck system.

Lush. Everything looks very wet, and very green. I'd love to spend time wandering the area.

Awesome!

I look at that mill and think what it took to make all of those parts! The forging and machining. No Grainger or Fastenal to buy shit from just amazing.

What an attractive place to spend time.
What is the water temperature like this time of the year.

I didn't have a thermometer with me but I would guess the water was in the upper 50s F. The lake is fed by two major streams that come out of the snow capped mountains to the east of the cabin.
