Rats in trees?
Palms? Sure, from what I've read.
Rats in trees?
....my best day climbing palms was 70 but that was 20 years ago.

Rats, snakes, bats, cockroaches, wasps and palmetto bugs all love to make their homes in palms Jim. Kind of like a box of chocolates............Never seen a rat in the wild, probably make me jump out of the tree.

box o chocolates! Classic!Rats in trees?
making the cuts. I was only up a few steps so when it started to go I abandoned ship. We had the road closed for about 30 minutes. I excited now... the carver is suppose to be there tomorrow to sculpt this high stump. I'll take some pictures of it when it's finished.
Some people call them squirrels here.
I am glad we don't have palm trees in Wisco.Fi, I forgot a pull stick. I Will Not forget one today. I use a 20oz weight to punch through. Mostly successful when you pull the rope through the direction the throw ball went through.
Rajan, you sort of look for a hole in the center top. Shoot through the hole. The tricky part is cutting around your rope. Just keep an eye, cut just out past the rope. When ready to make your finish cuts in places, slack the rope while on the flip line, move rope and cut.
Totally get it Brian. Would have hated trying to gaff through all the older husks. With the stinging critters, yeah just let the calm flow
No paper wasps yet. Or rats, or.........
And I forgot to mention scorpions, centipedes and ANTS. Those today were slap full of fire ants and I got a glimpse of this guy in the duff. I thought he was a snake at first but I believe it was a glass snake (legless lizard).Rats, snakes, bats, cockroaches, wasps and palmetto bugs all love to make their homes in palms Jim.
