Wonder the cost on that job? and if bid appropriately once all was said and done? Not a cheap job.

Hard to imagine all the variables, or just bid super high, or something.

interesting. I just put a $7900 plus tax price tag on a row of trees removal job, wood disposal, chips on site and off. Biggest price job, non-storm related. I should have had that money on two other tree jobs, but went too low...living and learning. Wait to see if the they sign. They're only paying half, as its shared with the neighbor, so hopefully that helps offset sticker shock.

Most times 3k is a bigger number.

At the hospital where I was recently incarcerated, from my window I could see a huge tree planting job taking place on some new grounds of the establishment. Fairly mature Zelkovas, they were at least 24 inches at the base. Crown reductions were pretty minimal, and all the trunks and limbs up to a pretty small diameter had been wrapped in Burlap. That must have been a pita.

Man, I've been missing-out around here. Teach me to go "on walkabout," (Butch's) again... Dang.

Rich: I think that that Oak that you cut-up is the prettiest stump that has ever been cut-up in the history of the entire world.

Deva: MAN!! Dude, I SO wish that I could introdude you to this dude "Indy," that I know. He's the only guy I know who could possibly swap stories with you regarding tree-planting stuff. Gotta love million/billionairs, man. Some people hate em. Man, I stinkin LOVE em... Why not???

Sorry about the absence, friends. Kinda run-o-the-mill pics today... just grabbing-the wood from yesterday's Alder and Fir.

Good to have ya back Jed. Thanks for the compliment on the oak stump. I check about every hinge I make. Whether I'm felling or cutting a top from 90' up, I study it quickly to understand the response I got out of it.

Haha. I had this big argument with myself about moving this dudes boat without asking. He was moored right under the removal. I ended up transferring all his bumpers and tying him up in a safer spot (out of the sawdust). I sure do like that little chipper of mine 8)

Thanks Jim, it is doing good. Sat out all winter, so I'm not expecting miracles. I'll hit it again when it needs it.
I got an extra spray can, I need to get the hoses all the way. Can't hurt.

Cheers
