Undoubtedly, but even a bucket on an avant is worth 20 blokes.
Yup, it makes no sense on multiple levels, another important one being that town work prices are notoriously low. There were 4 guys there, 1 to grind and the other 3 awaited the clean up and re loaming/seeding of the site.
We used a 6' wide grapple bucket which allowed very heaping loads on large stumps.

I've been opening up the forest that the front of the house faces. The back is water-view from up on a hill. Pic from the bottom of the driveway.
Cleaning from killing lots of holly. Canopy raises, shaping cool cedars, a little ornamental shaping.
A great red Japanese maple has verticillium wilt worth 1/3 dead. I cut out just under half, finding streaking close to the ground level. No bueno.
They lost 1/3 of a mimosa from overwatering. Hopefully the remaining 2/3 starts popping soon. Another mimosa down the hill (late blooming and leafing) has just started popping a few buds.
Threw a track offroading yesterday. Waited until today to fix it. Washed machines are better to work on, especially in Muddy conditions, so I brought multiple garden hoses.

Any idea as to exactly how the track came off? Too loose (lack of maintenance) or I've found that driving over a low spot such that the middle of the track is unsupported and sagging coupled with being at an angle that can slide the track out of alignment with the middle rollers will cause it to come off. I try to pay attention now going over ditches to catch such a problem early.

Coulda been tighter, coupled with mud and a high pressure spot, like the track on a low holly stump that I should have marked with a flag or left much taller. .

Short stumps are the Bain of track machines. Most of the time if I’m working an area and there are small 2” diameter or about stumps I’ll pull them out with the grapple. Another tip is to use a clearing saw and cut the small stuff at dirt level.

Little orange cones from Dollar Tree help with stumps and rocks. Ground level changes a bit as you run round the cut stumps. Use these a lot to mark the desired path and obstacles.
