Big dumb removal the other day. First pic was of the tree the afternoon before we started the removal. Second was the next afternoon finishing up. We pruned this tree a month ago and then they decided to remove it. A new driveway is going in and the root damage would be detrimental to its survival and cost after new driveway would be four times higher

Had the new guy, Ben, and Miriam a few hours yesterday, then Ben and I today.

Spent some time teaching various things.

Done by 3pm.

One the HOA's root-disease pocket With trunk and limb weight to the house side.

Ben is an up and coming climber and cutter.

I'll get him up a tree next week.

A lot of butt-hitching long, heavy limbs on the fence side, cutting and NC-lowering to the ground crew who diced them up and tossed them out of the drop zone, in the green belt. 193t and 2511t higher up. Climbed pop a small top, then Magic Cut down with the 2511t to 14" diameter, then chased Magic Cuts with a 20", down to a spar.

Maasdam Rope Puller on the spar.

High stumped for habitat at 6'.
