The Official Work Pictures Thread

It is actually a steel core flip line that I only use on pine and spruce...

Never realised the lanyard police actually patrolled this area of the inter webs. ;)

Indeed.

I have heard climbers say that the condition of the textile part isn't important, as the strength is in the wire core. That is overlooking the obvious IMO.

I m on about for comfort mate. Soo annoying having a part of a steely get caught in the hitch. Ive been using rope lanyards lately. Got a brand new 15foot wirecore ready in the bag though..

Friction hitch lanyard would drive me crazy with all the pitchy trees around here.
I've been using this ART lanyard lately. So chintzy looking. I'm afraid it's going to kill me but it sure does work nice.

Love those pictures. White snow, super blue sky.

Had a steep approach getting up to the property and didn't trust my bucket truck. Turned out to be the right move later but I put the chipper in first with my truck.

Job was to remove Redwood on right which kind of loomed over their patio area and they hate all the needles. Also do end weight reduction on the cedar on the left so there would be no overhang/needle drop on the patio area plus lower dead removal. We of course detailed it a little more than my paper said too.

I got a little bit of help on some of the bigger limbs until he was out of reach but manhandled 99% of them from the tree.

Chunked it out being careful to apply proper the rotation English and not crash my chipper, and a few other items below.

Let the client's child try out my ropetek hat. He was curious about everything.

Left them the firewood and the chips and drove to the bank.

Nice pics, but a threatening sky. Must get used to that in Oregon. Does Oregon actually have a rainy season, or precipitation all year round?

I think that western Washington is probably rainier than Western Oregon, but I could be wrong.

It doesn't rain for months in the summer. It rains the rest of the months, though.

At the same time, it might be 50 and dry here, for a day or two here and a day there, in the winter.
Often-- Hi in the 40's, Low in the 40's, chance of rain.

A lot more pines in southern Oregon, and better weather, I believe.

Great pic of the client's kid. Did the client see that one? I can see them looking at that again 10 or 15 years from now and being tickled.

Thanks, yes Derek took that picture, number 10, right away he said
"oh I got a good one."
Catching the follow through on by photo of movements in the tree is interesting because a guy doesn't really know what it looks like, he's just kind of doing the deal.

Somebody forgot to slide the axles forward before chipping. After checking the wieght slips from the past week I figure he was only 8000#s over wieght. Hauling the other trailer back to where we got it and picking up two 38 footers.
