Ground help failed to show up in the morning for an ash removal, HO had 4 other trees needed some pruning, day wasn't lost. Rare for my area, not for aesthetics, but to clear up for a better satellite signal and more sun for a garden.

Man... I wanna mill that sucker!

I almost talked the property manager--who was a rich-guy working for a richer guy--into buying a 90+cc saw with a jig on it to just mill-it up on the spot. He had us hold off on the log and just haul the rest of the wood away. Changed his mind the next day and made us haul out 4" wafers on a Dingo.

Shame for sure that didn't see a mill, but been there myself more than once.
Today rocked home by one drop and leave stems standing. Couldn't help but keep it orderly as possible as a 75+ couple pick away at the debris.

Missed was the shot of a tape measure in a hole living on a rind at most at 8ft.

I would say 85% at least on the laurel oaks if not higher.
This was yesterday's

And yes it was a fattie!

image.jpg this is what I've been doing for almost two weeks now. Forget the length of this 60' wide ROW, but it's a log walk. I gotta walk the whole thing and video it every morning before starting. Almost done. Excavator mounted stump grinder moving in tomorrow.
Damn nice pics Joel.
Jed, that was a nice hinge and a beautiful log. I get nervous dropping toward a building that close with a spar.

Rich: Me Too! Your job looks beautiful, serene and fun.

Joel: Amazing shots man. Nice pigs. Laurel Oak, eh? Man... I gotta drag the family over East to see the sights one of these days.

That was just cleaning up the edges on that section. I should've got a pic of the disaster the guy felling made. I'd swear he does it just to piss me off. And he wonders why I won't let him near structures or even fences. Just two of us tomorrow so I'll be felling and hauling. Bet it's about as productive. End of the day will be wasted with another meeting to go over the next phase.
