The Official Work Pictures Thread

These saws have several length options. I chose the 1.8-5.0m option.I think this is the best option for working with a bucket track. This saw is fantastic. At least I've never had anything better. It is indicated that this saw is designed for high-speed sawing. This is really a high-speed saw.

Day before yesterday I rigged out this gray pine, chipped and hauled out all but the heavier wood in about 4.5 hours. 10 yards of chips.
PG&E were coming in to replace a power pole so we had to go back today (just Rob & I) and drop the spar and haul the wood out. Tare was over 4 ton. About 4.5.
I did not get a picture of the final face cut. Wide open face.. did not gut the hinge as sometimes I can just tip it slow and even keep the wood attached at the stump. We did not want any to roll down into the arroyo or towards the shed.
Pretty limited access for the material.
Tethered the base in case of a bad bounce. About 60 degrees out of favor.
Alls well that lands well. 20230923_084404.jpg 20230923_084426.jpg 20230923_084440.jpg 20230923_084456.jpg 20230923_084525.jpg 20230923_085303.jpg 20230923_085311.jpg

Almost a bush and not a tree but it paid well and at least I got to pop a top. First one I’ve done where the top had some back lean opposite the drop zone. Took some limbs off the back side to help load the weight and leverage in the desired direction. I knew what to do in theory but finally got to practice and experience it.

One of those “cut a little, haul brush a little” kinda solo jobs.

Found a garter snake. Picked him up and moved him. He was very inactive as temps were just above 55*
