The Official Work Pictures Thread

First day back of 2023. Been doing a bit of boarding and family time and then the new puppy,

We removed 3 decent sized spruce today and a large Birch.

A good day and lovely weather. Only problem was with the snow and ice the tracked chipper slid a few times when moving it, then flipped a track twice when trying to correct it over an hour spent fixing it.

I supposed it is a work pick but more of a view pick. You can almost see my house from the tree as we were working up the hill.

Tire studs in the tracks will help eliminate slippage. I use them on my mini and lift. They are just the cheap hardened screw in type that look like sheet metal screws. Kold Kutter is the brand I use 3/4” long. They do pull out in time but worth the cost, just do less 360’s lol.

Cheers, the guy who owns the chipper bought a load of screw in studs for his boots and also bought some of the chipper. I bet he wished he fitted them to the chipper would have save him over an hour.

Fortunately for me, I was up in the tree when it happened.

We are back there tomorrow to tell sticks and stack for the 360 to clear the stems. Hopefully he will be putting the studs in.

started this beech removal today. we speedlined (with brake line) most and did a little bit of winching aswell. winch anchorpoint in neighboor tree. fun times. (besides the interwoven nature of this tree ;) )

reason for removal was a severly splitt union

uprooted hickory storm damage tree this week, double whip in trees on either side, 1/2" trueblue on one side to counteract the force of the yellow line pulling sideways, was helping another company out on this one, customer paid $2000 more to not damage 10 feet of fence, good salesman I guess
