I'm looking to get new felling dogs for my Stihl 440 Magnum.

Something more aggressive than the stock spikes it comes with. Any suggestions?

Thanks....

Like these, too late for them but there's a guy on ebay selling some like them.

Or you can get these Pro Safety from Baileys.

Sweet --thanks!

I had seen them on Baileys, but wasn't sure if they would be a fit...

IMHO, the ones from Baileys are so big, that they are too big !
I have a few holes in my leg from using them, and they are so sharp that my saw actually used to routinely get stuck. They bored in and wouldnt let go, making me shut off the saw, pry them out and re-start the saw ......... thats where the holes came from, starting a non-decomp woods ported saw on flat ground is one thing, but starting a non-decomp woods ported saw while working in the field on a felled tree is another.

I have the dual spikes from Stihl ............. love them !!!

True, they are large and sharp. I had to take a file to the ones on my 066 I got from Baileys... Too easy to stick the saw. They took some getting used to...

IIRC, I also lost between 3 and 4 inches from whatever bar I was using with the Baileys spikes ........ less bar is lost with the "R" spikes from Stihl.
I even cut off the lowest spike from the Baileys ones in an attempt to keep them ............. they kept the saw crooked when on the ground, and that lowest spike is the longest, thats the sucker that stuck my leg a few times
