I was wondering the shortest length for an eye to eye hand spliced 16 strand?

You can go as short as 32" for sure. The bury from each end will cross over in the middle, kind of a pain in the ass splice I feel.

I've done one for a ring-ring friction saver, 55 inches, 22 inches at each end, plus the 11 inches in the middle for the crossover, what would be the marks for the 32"?
