Saw collections

Nope just hard work and superior intellect. Yep, you boys pay attention to guys like me and someday you too can have a collection such as that.

What are the scissors for Steve???? Bonsai pruning???

Like I would even know how to do that.:) It's a mystery to me why the scissors are there or why they have stayed there so long. They have been there for a couple of weeks.

Magnus, I wish I had known about you last year, when my wife, 3 dogs and I toured Sweden and Norway.
I would have LOVED to see your collection.
I did get to see a fine specimen of the diesel powered Raket saw in a logging museum near Jönköping, though.
I've always wanted to see that one. I suppose you have one of those, too?

You will come again sometime, I am sure..
I will have coffey ready. It is just a hour 20 min from bridge!

Collection has grown quite a bit since these pic's...
I need new ones.

I have 4 more two man saws, still need to get one from UK here and make two more complete.

It is now almost 850 saws in the house in total with doubbles and parts saws.

Ah-HA!!!
Magnus!! WTF is this??!! :?

no mystery. you have kids.;)

Mr. Burnham!

Is that a KB6 or 7? Any letter(s) after like KB6-AY?

Nice logo on the bar!

Oh..
You have a bunch of nice orenge/white saws too..

You'd be in far better position to know the first thing about it than I, Magnus. I can look at the labels and markings closer...what am I looking for besides the KB6 or 7-AY?

How "collectable" is it? Can you appraise a ballpark value for me?

That old Merc looks to be in great shape Burnham...

I ran an 076 back in the day on the landing... with a 42" bar... I was 17-18. That thing made a man out of me. Prolly why my elbows wrists, and shoulders are messed up... :)

Gary

For what it's worth, Burnham, That old Mercury has a history behind it. Wayne Sutton, who is a big collector in Amboy, WA, told me about a book, "The Iron Fist" wich is the story of Mercury and Kiekafer and it is a fascinating read. I bought it and got it read in 4 days. It and the Stihl book really gives a person an insight into the forces that shaped the chain saw industry.

Eddie

The 076 rpms max out at ten grand...you can almost count the cutters going around. Hard to stop in the cut though. With a 42" bar, you' can walk the talk. I like it!
