Was up hunting mountain quail over the weekend in the sierra's at about 4000ft elevation, chasing those hard to get quail all over ridges, draws and thick forest driving from dirt road to dirt road.
Everytime I go, I run into some big trees, mainly ponderosa's, sugar pines and doug firs that catch my attension.
Heres a nice size doug fir that I drove by, it had a busted top, probably Was 180-200ft in the day, lot of busted branches as well.
Came across a massive sugar pine and some fat pondo's as well, but camera was in 4x4 so no pics of them.

Oh, yes, got a few mountain quail as well with the 28ga 7/8oz of #6 shot

There are many big ones in this area, Just thought I would share
