Saw 'em at TCIA '07 and grilled their sales rep on performance. IMO the tooth mounting system does not seem as good as the Sandvik wheel. Holding stump teeth in place with 'clips' just seems a bit :what:....... Time will tell I suppose.

I was thinking you'd WANT the mass of a solid wheel to aid in cutting torque n whatnot.

We spoke to him as well. He pretty much staright oput told us either of our machines would destroy the teeth and the bigger machine would destroy the wheel. Same thing with the other 2 new wheels that came out in the past 2-3 years. We stick with the stock Vermeer wheels

Sandvik wheel is about 200% better than stock vermeer. You wont believe the difference until you try one.
