I've owned more SKS rifles than I care to recall! I THINK I got to shoot two of them! One I still own, a paratrooper version that I've never seen another version of, it's shorter and the lanyard comes through the side, not the loop on the bottom of the stock. I got hella good at cleaning them. Easy-off oven cleaner gets the cosmoline off easily. We'd buy six to eight a show, have them all sold before we got home! Buy them for $75 and sell them for $125-$175 each, all day long, never did get that?
I wish like hell I could find another case or two of the old steel core ammo for $60 a case! I really messed up not getting more of that stockpiled!

Sold my 1911 and picked this up.....very impressed with the XDm .45 indeed. Range report coming soon.....

Thanks mate, had some trijicon night sights put on it too. Took it to the range yesterday...........LOVE this pistol. Ran 50 rounds through it without any problems. Get one Andy!!

I have an old Stevens model 416 22lr. My parents met on a rifle team in college...it was my dads guns. Fun to shoot. Anyone know the value of this gun.....sounds like it cost 22 dollars back in the 40's

Yup, they sold for $22.42 back in the day and about 10,000 were manufactured. Depending upon condition, values today range from $70 to $140. This model was also used as a U.S. military training gun. If yours is stamped "U.S. Property" on the rear of the bolt housing, it will be worth quite a bit more.

I just picked up a Pedersoli .45-70 in like new condition. Can't wait to shoot it! It's similar to the one in Quigley Down Under, but a bit smaller. ;)

I have one just like that new in box unfired. I have no idea what their current worth is. Can you enlighten me?

Brett, do you have any idea if Charlton Heston's collection is still intact? You would be a good keeper of it.

I just bought this beauty! :|: Brand new, never fired, still in the box. I'm really tempted to shoot it, but I'll probably just sell it. The value will decrease by about $400 if I fire it. :(

It's a modern made version of the original design.
