foot ascender options?

Hello all,
I have recently started using the samson vortex for SRWP with the WR. I like the larger diameter for the easy grip... anyways everything works fine except my pantin pops out pretty easy from this thick rope. My question is does anyone have a recommendation for a different brand of foot ascender that possibly has a larger cam opening that may be more compatible with this rope?

Are you using the preferred leg motion? Old or new Pantin? I wondered about putting a small hole in the new Pantin.
