I recently removed some Eucs in exchange for a 2000 ford taurus. It is a flex fuel vehicle. My question to yous guys is since I believe this vehicle is OK to burn ethanol and I see that there is one station around here that sells it. Are there any problems associated with this or do any of you have experience with this. Regular gas here is $3.47 currently and I see the ethanol is $3.09. So, of course I"m tempted and I seem to remember that there is less energy in ethanol than gas per gallon. So I'm assuming it's a trade off there. Anyway, what say you?

Only Americans have something against ethanol.
Here it is just another fuel option.

The Irish love it BTW:lol:

So ethanol is 10% cheaper but you'll have almost 20% reduction in efficiency. The ethanol will still cost you more money per mile (but only by a minuscule amount of money). The known issues with ethanol and its attraction to water makes it impractical in humid Florida so I'm biased against it.
