I asked him over at Steve's site if he had ever said no to a tree. He hadn't. I have and will again. I am good with having a regular sized pair.

That tree would have been nearly guaranteed death or serious injury to rig and probably even try flopping the tops above that decay from what I saw. Seems like that was likely an aerial inspection and video to show the decision makers and justify flopping the tree whole. Though its possible I could be wrong just this once

When you don't need a saw to remove some chunky parts of a tree, it's probably a good sign that you shouldn't be up there.
