DMM recall

Yeep, mine arrived last night and recalled today… stoked. Apparently a screw backed out while aloft… no injuries.

Yeah that’s what I read as well. He said that he unclipped to flip over a union and when he went to sit in his system again it failed. Still had his lanyard on.

So‘ DMM is handling recall as the manufacturer but do I get my $80 plus tax back?…..

Cause if not, I’m planning on threadlocking the screw in and calling it good… or eat it and buy Rock Exotica…

Just registered mine for the recall, been on them for about 5 years.

I’m just glad to see them do a recall. I don’t really know how the investigation went or what type of operator the guy is that was using it when it failed. Some companies try to blame the user until quite a few incidents occur before a recall

That's how I see it. If a swivel were essential, it would have greater value. Just replace it once a year or something. Too many moving parts for a convenience feature.

I've gone DSMc's route of using a Camp Gyro instead of a bridge ring. I resisted the idea.

I like it. I certainly inspect it!
