I started out on a chilly early morning with a light pile jacket. As the sun rose I got overheated. Any tips for heat management when you have a variety of temperatures in one climb?

Start cold.

Climb a little and unzip or delayer.

Multiple thin layers is the way...shed as needed. May well need to add some back as level of exertion changes.
