Yesterday I nicked myself with my 200. I was being careless and paid the piper. Because I take a daily aspirin, I bleed like a stuck pig so when this happened I broke out the Celox package I bought a while back and DAMN! It worked great! I highly suggest everyone have this in their first aid kit!

I bought 4 packets- 1 for each climbing kit, one for the fist aid box and 1 for home.

Delighted to see it works!

p.s. Bugger- that little nick could have been a real chew- glad you were lucky

Can you explain how to use it. They say "packets"...how do you apply it?

I poured it into the wound and applied pressure. Here's a kinda gross video.

It doesn't seem to be advertised on the web over here, will check that link to see if they sell international. Thanks.

Have to try that out. I bought a fist aid kit over the summer and I haven't had to use it yet. Celox will be a great addition to the kit.

I'm glad the cut wasn't worse Butch

No, no, no Butch... it's "A POUND of flesh"...

;)

Glad to see ya got lucky, dude. Definitely could have been LOADS worse.

:occasion5: A sacrifice to the tree gods......if you will

You mean:The gods of onehanding chainsaws, don't you?

What kind of gloves do you wear while working,MB. It looks like a good glove might have made that cut a little less nasty. Anyway, you got off lucky, good for you.

Butch do you have to order from the manufacture or can you get it at a drug store? I want some for my hunting first aid kit. The broad heads I use are sharper than Granddad's straight razor.

That video was pretty gross when they took out the big blood clot from the dog, I think it was. It made me think that you might have a hard time cleaning a big wound with the hemostatic packed in there, unless somebody sticks their hand in and grabs all the blood. Yuck.....
